It begins ... again
Fantasy Football is an addicting, intense, trash-talking experience all Americans should know. As it is that, we have begun our 2007 season. Yes, the '06 season has yet to actually finish, but its fantasy season is over, so we begin anew.

I present to you Team Katamari 2007:

RB - Brian Westbrook

RB - DeAngelo Williams

QB - Marc Bulger

WR - Roy Williams

I only have D. Williams because we were required to have a rookie.

Potential team names for 2007: Katamari United; Team YouTube; Mankato Know-Nothings.

Sad ending to an otherwise great season. Today we mourn ... 0-3.

Empty Suit, Dirty Daddy
"I love my father dearly. I do not condone his actions or behavior, and I am deeply disturbed by what I have learned. He clearly has some issues that need to be dealt with, and I will encourage him to seek the necessary help." - Quote the Strib story.

That, if you didn't know, is Norm Coleman talking about his father, who, at age 81, was caught in some dirty deeds with a woman less than half his age. They were messing around, to say the least, in a car. Damn old people, always messing around with ladies in the backseat. They were probably drinking beer, smoking cigarettes and looking at dirty magazines in a wooded park, too.

Let's hope this completely deflates Coleman's re-election in '08.

I did, by the way, see Norm at the Mall of America last holiday season. Shopping with his wife. The man is short. And I mean Short. I think it's to the point of him qualifying for disability, the guy's so short. Little fella. Anyway, he was chatting on his phone, oblivious to his wife like his dad is to decency laws. They walked into Urban Outfitters. Maybe he was looking for someone half his age.

More pics
Slowly getting more pics up. Took a very small number of pictures with my recent trip to Canada, but they're not great, so we'll see. I like having these stored somewhere should I lose them somehow.

This was a shot I took from an upper-level bus seat on a tour of Rome. They just put statues everywhere, including in the middle of bridges, where this one is. In the background is the Castel Sant' Angelo, near the Vatican.

This was one of those random things you run into and just enjoy. My friend wanted me to take a picture, and I'm glad he did. It was just a bunch of guys playing instruments, with one singer. He had kind of a nasaly, old-timey sound. It reminds me of these street performers in London, not older than mid-20s, who were playing string instruments and singing opera in a crowded shopping area. Very talented.
